If you’ve been injured in a no-fault car accident in the UK or abroad, you could be eligible for compensation. Whether you’ve suffered moderate or serious injuries, including spinal or head trauma, our car accident claims management partners can assess your case and help you start the process of making a claim. You can also make an injury compensation claim for lorry, van and coach accidents.
You could be eligible to make a car accident claim if:
- You were injured in a car accident in the UK or abroad within the past 3 years, in which you were a driver or passenger and it wasn’t your fault
- You sustained injuries requiring medical attention including head, brain, spinal cord and back injuries, limb damage, brachial plexus injuries, soft tissue injury, broken bones, nerve damage, eye damage, hearing loss, paralysis or fatal injury
Minor Injuries
If you have suffered a minor injury as a driver or passenger in a road traffic accident that wasn’t your fault, you do not have to use the services of a claims management company. You may be able to claim compensation using the Official Injury Claim Service. This service is free but you do not receive legal help. The majority of whiplash claims and most other soft tissue injuries (such as cuts and bruises) will be valued at less than £5,000 and are suitable for this service.
Serious car accident injuries
If your injury is moderate or severe (such as head injury, broken arms and injuries affecting internal organs), your claim may be considerably greater and you should seek legal advice. If this is the case, we can help you find out if you could make a no win, no fee claim.
This means that if your claim is unsuccessful, you won’t have to pay anything. Successful claimants typically pay 25% of awarded compensation. Terms and conditions apply*.
Whiplash claims
The most frequently sustained injury in road traffic accidents, whiplash is caused by sudden movement of the head and neck. While some might suffer mild discomfort for just a few days, injuries can be serious, resulting in severe pain and long-term damage.
You could be eligible to make a whiplash injury claim if:
- You were injured in any type of road traffic accident in the UK or abroad within the past 3 years, in which you were a driver or passenger and it wasn’t your fault
- You sustained whiplash-related injuries that have caused considerable pain and long-term health issues
- You can also make a whiplash claim against the driver of the car you were a passenger in if they were responsible
Uninsured or untraced drivers; foreign-registered vehicles or accidents abroad
If you have been involved in a road traffic accident and wish to make a claim against an uninsured or untraced driver; or if the accident was in the UK involving a foreign- registered vehicle; or if the claim involves a road traffic accident abroad, you do not have to use the services of a claims management company to pursue your claim. It may be possible for you to present the claim for free, directly with the Motor Insurance Bureau.
